Evaluations

JCCA's treatment services begin with an evaluation. A counselor evaluates each client's situation to understand and assess existing mental health problems to determine, in partnership with the client, the type of treatment service for his/her needs. The evaluation is two part: a standardized assessment that measures the severity of mental health symptoms; and an interview with the counselor to better understand how co-occurring disorders have affected the client's life. Based on the evaluation, the counselor can collaborate with clients on what treatment service is appropriate to help them achieve or reduce their mental health symptoms.

Please note: Evaluations may be ordered by the courts, Department of Human Services, physicians, schools, hospitals, caseworkers, probation officers, or employers. Individuals who have been ordered or requested to have a mental health or psychological evaluation may contact us for an evaluation appointment.
